South Coast Orthopaedic Clinic
Orthopaedic excellence with high quality care and experience.
We are currently experiencing an unprecedented health crisis with constantly changing information provided through media to the public and to the medical profession. We have a duty of care to protect our patients and staff which we take very seriously. We are therefore taking the necessary precautions to keep us all safe.
As a surgical specialist our consultations do require a physical examination and our doctors will still be consulting in our rooms.
A number of measures have been put in place throughout the clinic to try and reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Please ensure that you are following all guidelines and laws in place regarding leaving your home.
We have hand sanitising bottles as you walk into the clinic. There is also a notice advising if you are sick or have been overseas in the last 14 days that you should not enter the clinic.
The reception staff will utilise antiseptic hand rub between every patient contact as will the medical staff.
Increased gaps have been placed between chairs in the waiting room.
All the books and magazines have been put away.
We encourage all patients to use tap Only and not utilise cash. The secretarial staff will wipe down the EFTPOS machine between each use.
To ensure we limit the amount of people in the waiting area we ask that each patient be accompanied by no more than one other person.
All surfaces in our waiting rooms and consulting rooms are being cleaned with disinfectant multiple times during the day.
Elective surgery that is not Category 1 or high Category 2 as per the NSW Health guidelines has been stopped until further notice. Any surgery that does fit into this classification will be postponed and we will contact all patients that this will impact. We do acknowledge that this will impact patients and we will continue to work with them and their local medical practitioner to manage these orthopaedic conditions.
As soon as the restrictions are lifted we will contact patients currently booked in to reschedule their procedure.
Please call our offices if you have any questions: Dr Cossetto 4423 6377 or Dr Goudar 4480 6596
For further information about the coronavirus please contact the hotline on 1800 020 080
