Dr David J Cossetto
Dr Cossetto specialises in arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder. He has expertise in ACL knee reconstruction, computer navigated and robotic total knee replacement and direct anterior approach total hip replacement surgery. Dr Cossetto obtained his MBBS from the University of Sydney in 1986, followed by an FRACS in 1996. He was made a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 1998. He has American fellowship training in primary and revision total joint replacement surgery, and currently regularly convenes training workshops for direct anterior total hip arthroplasty.
Dr Cossetto has a special interest in patient-specific technology and robotic solutions.
Having over 20 years experience, Dr Cossetto has performed over 7000 total hip and knee replacements. His passion and commitment to providing a high level of care enables him to help his patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr Cossetto also regularly hosts fellow colleagues to teach direct anterior total hip and revision total knee replacement procedures at the Nowra Private Hospital. Dr Cossetto has remained engaged and valued within his industry by contributing and writing peer reviewed publications in international orthopaedic journals.
He is currently a member of the Court of Examiners of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Having been in the private practice in the Shoalhaven area since 1996, he has remained connected within his community, providing quality care to his patients. In his spare time, David enjoys guitar playing and snow skiing.
